The contest challenges pupils team (2nd and 3rd degree secondary education) to design a scientifically based campaign for a more sustainable future for our coast, seas or ocean.
Planet Ocean has an educational website that wants to bring the marine sciences into the classroom by means of engaging learning modules, a school contest, hands-on training for teachers and information on inspiring marine scientific careers.
Actually 5 modules are online on the marine foodweb, the exploration of the oceaan sea floor, plastics in the ocean, sustainable seafood consumption and ocean acidification.
The website will remain accessible - also later than the 15th of February, the deadline of the competition - and will be completed year after year with extra modules.
