Abstract
    A total of 47 species of free-living marine nematode belonging to 2 classes, 6 orders, 22 families, 43 genera are documented from Lakshadweep based on published literatures. Class Chromadorea consists of 33 species under 32 genera and 15 families, while, Enoplea comprises 14 species belonging to 11 genera and 7 families.
