Abstract
The first occurrence and status of the Indo-Pacific architectonicid Heliacus implexus (Mighels, 1845) is described for the continental shelf of Central Greece. Comparisons are made with other known species of the Mediterranean Sea and the Indo-Pacific. The species described here exhibits a continuous range from East Africa to Easter Islands inhabiting intertidal waters on colonies of zoanthinarian polyps and is expanding in the Mediterranean Sea.
