Data were collected as part of the project “Distribution, use and conservation of the botanical heritage of the Northern Coast of Portugal: a sustainable development approach for a (future) ‘Natura 2000’ site”. The general aim of the data collection was to characterise the macroalgal community composition and variability in rock pools along the northwest coast of Portugal. Lineage
