The Iziko South African Museum has a comprehensive collection of cetacean and Cape fur seal skeletal material. Skeletal material from other marine mammals is also held. Part of this collection is on exhibition in the museums Whale Well. It currently contains 1184 records of 12 families. more
The original dataset, provided by AfrOBIS, contains all distribution records. The dataset in OBIS Seamap is a subset of the original dataset, only containing marine mammal, seabird and/or sea turtle records.
