Abstract
Experiments were carried out for distinction and classification of Spanish Artemia by means of morphological analysis. Under standard culture conditions, a comparative study was made between the S. Francisco strain (a type most world-widely investigated) and the Spanish strain. Two species of genus Artemia were found to exist: A. Salina Leach common in the Mediterranean area and A. Gracilis Verril only in North America.
