Abstract
In S. canicula, during spermatogenesis, the spermatozoa develop amidst Sertoli cells, disposed in closed cysts. The sertolian cytoplasm is the site of double synthesis issued from endoplasmic reticulum and free ribosomes. It elaborates the problematic body and numerous secretory granules scattered at the apical pole of the cell. These essentially proteinaceous nutritive materials are excreted within the semen. The Sertoli cells take also part in the discharge of the bundle of spermatozoa.
