Abstract
Variations of the amount and of chemical composition in terms of C and N for both copepods C. Typicus and T. Stylifera sampled in the Banyuls- sur-Mer neritic area are analysed in relation to physiological variations attached to annual cycle, sex, and growth stage. Measurements on organisms samples in the Mediterranean ecosystem are compared with equivalents from Moroccan Atlantic coastal upwelling. It appears that adaptation of the organisms C/N ratio to the ecological conditions varies from one ecosystem to another.
