Abstract
A new minute species of the genus Palearcticarellus Palatov et Marin, 2020 (Crustacea: Amphipoda: Crangonyctidae) is described from a high-altitude mountain spring located in a drainage basin of a small mountainous river in the Ulagan District of the Altai Mountains, a tributary of Bashkaus River flowing into Lake Teletskoye. The species differs well from its relatives both morphologically and genetically. This is the seventh described species of the genus Palearcticarellus, and the fifth known from the mountainous areas of Altai, Russia.
