Abstract
    European Green Deal: Europe aims to become the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. The aim is to become a modern resource-saving economy. The European Green Deal sets the blueprint for this transformational change. This will impact profoundly the neighbor countries of the European Union in the South Mediterranean that export energy and other core resources to the European Union, that are recipients of significant European investment capital, and that are subject to EU policy priorities with regard to regional cross-border cooperation and integration.
