| Abstract |
Flooding is a natural hazard that can be a not-too-threatening event or a deadly one. In more violent events, floodwaters may move in great volumes, driven by gravity, and rage through highly and densely populated regions or rural areas killing and injuring people, destroying homes, roads, bridges and other infrastructure, and crops as the waters follow a pathway out of the flood zone. Flooding can also be an anthropogenic caused hazard. |
