Abstract
The new species of tubificids from Lake Baikal are described. Tasserkidrilus timmi sp. n. is characterised by the peculiar setal apparatus including bundles of 2 (rarely 3) setae of the lumbriculid's type with low situated rudiment of the proximal tooth on anteclitellar segments. T. heterodontus sp. n. and T. rectitubifer sp. n. are characterized by different length of the teeth of bifid setae on anteclitellar segments; the teeth gradually become longer from inner towards outer setae in a same bundle and from 11 to VIII segment. Unlike T. heterodontus, T. rectitubifer has no simple setae on the anterior segments, but has more setae in a bundle; its tubular cuticular sheath is straight, shorter and wider than that of T. heterodontus. These three new species are close to Baikalian endemic Tasserkidrilus mirandus (Snimschikova, 1982) in the structure of their reproductive organs.
