Abstract
The Cerithiopsidae family in the Hellenic Seas is reviewed after more than a decade of intense investigation and collection. Thirty one species were identified and their status was compared with existing checklists and other collections. This effort revealed two new Cerithiopsis records for the Eastern Mediterranean basin and one for the whole Mediterranean Sea except the Island of Alboran. The main identification characteristics and baseline ecological information are given and discussed when necessary.
