Abstract
    The authors give a fresh description of Raja polystigma Regan, 1923 based on morphological and meristic characters and chiefly on the anatomy of neurocranium, pelvic girdle and claspers. On basis of this description, it appears that R. polystigma could be included into sub. genus Raja Linné, 1758 sensu Stehmann (1970) et Hulley (1972). R. polystigma is a valid species but akin of others species of same sub.genus. An annotated dichotomic key painting out fundamental specific differences is presented, at last.
