Abstract
A new species, Hanzawaia kobayashii Akimoto sp. nov., is described from the Lower Miocene Cheongogosa Formation in the Pohang area of southeast Korea. This species differs from H. nipponica and H. tagaensis in having a thicker test and a smaller number of chambers.
