| Abstract |
The microfacies and the fauna of foraminifera found in the Rhetic limestone of the Königsberg mountain-chain near Göstling in Lower Austria (area of the Lunz nappe and Sulzbach nappe) are described. The fauna could be found in two spots of the Puchenstuben limestone of the middle Rhetic andin one spot in the (oolithic) upper Rhetic limestone.The fauna of foraminifera of the Puchenstuben limestone shows besides the generally frequent Rhetic species as Aulotortus sinuosus, Triasina hantkeni etc. above all Glomospira tenuifistula. Furthermore three species of Glomospirellae are represented, among them one is new. The sample of the upper Rhetic limestone showed four species of foraminifera, one of them being new (Glomospirella amplificata). |
