Abstract
    The aim of this paper is an attempt to summarise the conchological variability observed in Conus pennaceus sensu stricto Born, 1778 from the coastal waters of Egypt. The holotype of Conus quasimagnificus da Motta, 1982, the lectotype of Conus pennaceus Born, 1778, Conus episcopus Hwass in Bruguiere 1792, Conus colubrinus Lamarck, 1810 and Conus magnificus Reeve, 1843 are cited and illustrated as a pnmary source the collected specimens arecompared with.
