Abstract
The Granulinidae fauna from Masirah Island, located along the western coast of the Sultanate of Oman, is surveyed based on semi-intensive collects on the upper reef (0-20 m). Five species are recognized and described as new in the genera Granulina Jousseaume, 1888 and Paolaura Smriglio & Mariottini, 2001: Granulina scutulata sp. nov., G. nebulosa sp. nov., G. gradata sp. nov., G. rosea sp. nov. and Paolaura cancellata sp. nov. Variabilty of the shell morphology is studied in the five species; chromatism of the living animal and its variability is described for four out of the five species, Granulina gradata animal not being observed.
