Abstract
    The variability and range of the Ancilla fauna from the Gulf of Aden are analysed. Three species not known so far from the Gulf of Aden, A. albisulcata (Sowerby, 1830), A. lineolata (A. Adams, 1853) and A. murrayi Kilburn, 1981 are identified. Two specific forms close to A. ovalis (Sowerby, 1859) are flagged as needing more in depth investigations.
