Abstract
A new species of Volutidae Rafinesque, 1815, Cymbiola kimbacki sp. nov. is described from the deep water off the central coast of Western Australia. This new species is close to Cymbiola irvinae (Smith, 1909) and to Cymbiola hughmorrisoni Bail & limpus, 1997, forming a distinct group.
