Abstract
    The Indo-Pacific species Mimachlamys sanguinea (Linnaeus, 1758) is confirmed as migrating (Lessepsian migration) from the Red Sea to theMediterranean (southern Israel) and has established a local population. Its variability in the Mediterranean population is discussed and illustrated.
