Abstract
The presence of the Corambe obscura nudibranch is recorded for the first time for a coastal lagoon in Mexico. The specimen was found in the lagoon of Tampamachoco, Veracruz, on colonies of bryozoans embedded in red mangrove submerged roots. The nudibranch has a size of 5.6 mm long and 3 mm wide; it is yellow with brown spots in the notum and lacks a notch in the posterior notum. This record increases the original distribution range of C. obscura to the southwest of the Gulf of Mexico.
