Abstract
The Balkan Whipsnake, Dolichophis caspius (GMELIN, 1789), was sampled at the foot of the Bansko brdo Hill in Croatia, on the stations of Zmajevac (UTM: CR 37). It is the first time when the species Dolichophis caspius is recorded from the continental part of Croatia. In addition to this new finding for Croatia, there are also new findings for the area of Montenegro and Serbia. The Dolichophis caspius was sampled in an orchard near Negotin (UTM: FP 29) and near Tuzi (UTM: CM 69) in the vicinity of the border with Albania. Finding sites are identified by a 10 x 10 km UTM grid (Universal Transverse Mercator).
