Abstract
A periglacial deposit of loessic character at Halling, Kent, is described, and an analysis made of its molluscan fauna. The deposit is stratigraphically earlier than zone I of the Late Weichselian. The fauna suggests that an interstadial of the Middle Weichselian may be represented.
