Evaluating Europe’s course to sustainable fisheries by 2020: CFP report Technical Annex
(2018). Evaluating Europe’s course to sustainable fisheries by 2020: CFP report Technical Annex. WWF European Policy Office: Brussel. 40 pp.

Abstract
Five years after the reformed Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) has entered into force, the marine team of WWF has developed a global view of its implementation across the 23 marine European Member States1 (MS). The 28-page report evaluates the most relevant obligations stemming from the CFP, such as how the landing obligation is being dealt with by MS. The report, including a scorecard, was developed to prove to European and national decision-makers the flaws and slow progress of MS in delivering and implementing the set objectives of the CFP. It also gives recommendations on a way forward to improve the poor status of fish stocks and meet the CFP objectives.
