Abstract
Eviota personata Jordan and Thompson is transferred to Coryphopterus. The species of Eviota bear no close relation to Coryphopterus and apparently Eviota is restricted to the Indo-West Pacific region. Coryphopterus personatus is redescribed and two closely allied species, C. hyalinus and C. lipernes, are named. A modification of a previously published key to species of Coryphopterus is provided.
