Abstract
A new Costellarid, Vexillum (Costellaria) kathiewayae n. sp., is described from subtidal water (10 to 30 meters depth) from different areas in the Indo-Pacific. This new species has been confused with Vexillum (Costellaria) zelotypum of authors (non REEVE, 1845) and Vexillum (Costellaria) rusticum (REEVE, 1845). The shell and live animal is also compared with Vexillum (Costellaria) decorum (Reeve, 1845), Vexillum (Costellaria) clathratum (REEVE, 1844) is treated as a valid species.
