Since Prehistory, men have collected shells, not only to eat them, but also to use them as toolsor finery. They became part of every day's life, a great source of inspiration for men's fantasy. The aim of thispaper is to examine what place molluscs have got in art through time, regarding their aesthetic and symbolicvalues. |
