Abstract
Distributional data for many species are usually collated from historical accounts. Gaps in this knowledge have been highlighted by reviewing available literature. Data collated from several routine and monitoring surveys have produced records of a number of decapod species in areas from which they were previously unknown or were scarce. Their publication here highlights the importance of publishing data from routine surveys.
