Abstract
    In this paper is described Olivella defiorei, a new species from the Atlantic coast of the State of S. Paulo, Brasil. It is characterized by 9-11 plaits on the proximal third of the columellar wall. Color variable, last whorl light brown, fasciole porcelane white. Opercle absent. Comparison is made with O. tehuelcha (Duclos) and O. adelae Olsson.
