| Abstract |
The finest frontispieces from important malacological books of the XVIII century are illustrated and commented. The selected frontispieces are from the books of Rumphius, d'Argenville, Gualtieri, Scilla, Knorr and Martini. The collaboration with important artists and engravers for the frontispieces states the great importance that authors and editors attributed to their works. |
