Abstract
From the Ionian Sea's recent abyssal sediments, the new Pteropoda species Hyalocylis obtusa is herewith described. The differences of the new species from Hyalocylis striata RANG are the conic-obtuse profile, not as pointed toward the embryonal part, the narrower apical angle, the always oval transversal section of the shell and the different shape of the apical area.
