Abstract
    Haploscoloplos kergudensis Mcintosh, 1885, a polychaete belonging to the family Orbiniidae is recorded from the Western Mediterranean. It is the first record from the Mediterranean of a species more particularly known from antarctic and sub-antarctic regions.
