| Abstract |
The genus Neopycnodonte (family Gryphaeidae) is, at the present time, represented along the Atlantic coasts ofEurope by two species: Neopycnodonte cochlear (Poli, 1795) and Neopycnodonte zibrowii Gofas, Salas &Taviani in Wisshak et al., 2009, species recently described. In a previous publication (Delongueville & Scaillet1999), we reported the presence of two particularly large specimens of Neopycnodonte from the Bay of Biscay(Spain) that we can today attribute to Neopycnodonte zibrowii. The conchological differences between the twospecies are mentioned. |
