Abstract
    Three families of neuropeptides from the blowflies Calliphora vomitoria and Lucilia cuprina, the FMRFamides, the sulfkaninsand the allatostatins are used to illustrate the theme of unity and diversity with respect to structure, site of production, genes and functions.
