| Abstract |
Fry of O. keta, were reared in an artificial upwelling pond at a stocking density of one fry per cubic meter of water. Diatoms, primarily Chaetoceros sp, and a copepod, Acartia clausi, composed the food web in the pond. Fry averaging 0.6 g (wet weight) at introduction increased 1.9 g in the first 28 days, and 1.4 g in the second 28 days of the experiment. Mortality during the 56 days was less than 1%. |
