Abstract
Twenty-one spot current meter measurements document a high-velocity bottom flow in places greater than 20 cm/s around the periphery of the Labrador basin and Greenland continental margin. These data are consistent with previous hydrographic and current measurements in the area. Simultaneously obtained sea floor photographs show sedimentological features consistent with the magnitudes and directions of flow measured by current meter.
