Abstract
Wave set-up, the superelevation of mean water level owing to the presence of breaking incident waves, was measured at the shoreline of a natural beach. Offshore pressure sensors monitored incident wave conditions. The set-up of the shoreline was found to be about 0.17Hs,8, where H2,8, is the significant wave height in deep water.
