Abstract
    The results of study of Atka mackerel biology are reviewed. Original data on dynamics of relative daily growth during life cycle are presented. Dynamics of abundance of Primorye and Japan Atka mackerel populations is considered. Atka mackerel is characterized as the species well adapted to environments with high biological valency.
