In 1947 the Fisheries Research Board of Canada (FRB) initiated the Eastern Arctic Investigations. These were seasonal marine biological investigations led by Prof. M.J. Dunbar from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec. The 24 papers of the series represent the FRB arctic investigations between 1947 and 1959. Sampling methods were varied and included: hydrographic; sounding; plankton hauling; littoral collecting; benthos (dredging); benthos (trawling); seine fishing; hand-line fishing; long-line fishing; gill-net fishing; shark; sealing. Data from series numbers 5,6,7,9,11,14,16,18,23 and 24 have been included with results showing species location and presence only. Scope Themes: Biology > Benthos, Biology > Invertebrates, Biology > Plankton, Physical > Hydrography (e.g. T,S) Keywords: Marine/Coastal Temporal coverage
