Description 1875: Dijk en strand
Centraal het PAVILLON BEERBLOCK en rechts het PAVILLON DU RHIN.
Het PAVILLON BEERBLOCK was het eerste hotel aan de Westkant van de stad (ter hoogte van de huidige Parijsstraat). Het werd in gebruik genomen op 8 juni 1852 en gesloopt in 1879.
Het PAVILLON DU RHIN was het tweede hotel in die omgeving. Bij dit hotel hoorde een oesterput. Het werd uitgebaat door Louis ROYON - HERTOGHE.
De inhuldiging had plaats op 1 juli 1857. Het werd gesloopt in 1892.
