Abstract
Rimicaris exoculata is a caridean shrimp which form the dominant species around the deeper hydrothermal vents of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Seeking their respiratory adaptations to environment, we have analysed the structure and oxygen-binding properties of Rimicaris haemocyanin (Hc) in relation with temperature, pH and lactate variations.
