Abstract
A full length GnRH-R cDNA was cloned from the pituitaries of striped bass, Morone saxatilis. GnRH-R was present in extrapituitary tissues and a single transcript was observed in the pituitary. A single copy gene possibly encodes GnRH-R in striped bass. Further, significant luciferase reporter gene activity was induced upon transient GnRH-R expression in a fish cell line.
