Abstract
In vivo and in vitro experiments were designed to determine the influence of dietary polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) on reproduction in the European sea bass and to elucidate the role of arachidonic acid (AA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and its derived prostaglandins (PGs) on the processes of maturation, ovulation and spermiation in this species.
