Abstract |
During the past 10 years, British Columbian oyster growers have begun to adapt existing technologies to the environment of this province. The change from the use of seed harvested in the wild and from intertidal culturing techniques, to the use of hatchery seed, remote setting technologies, artificial clutch and automated harvesting, has been dramatic. This presentation reviews these changes and provides visual evidence of the new technologies presently used. |
