Abstract
Microbial management in larviculture is a necessity. To limit the use of antibiotics, insight in the host-micro-organism interactions needs to be acquired. Starting from an axenic food chain, the effects of the composition of the microbial community on growth and survival will be studied. The developing fish larvae, (especially the intestinal tract), will be examined using immunohitochemical, histological and elektronmicroscopic techniques.
