Abstract
The monitoring of river characteristics is optimized to produce accurate knowledge of the river system. This is the fundament of a reliable model of this system, one of the end goals of this research. In the second part, habitat suitability of fish and macroinvertebrates is modelled, while in the third part the deduction of knowledge out of data is automized.
