Abstract
In field experiments, the spatial distribution and activity of nematode in sediments from the Scheldt and from tropical mangroves will be investigated; also the relationship between the distribution of the species and the chemical environment will be determined. An instrument will be purchased which allow measuring the oxygen directly in the sediment (or in cultures).
