Trained as a computational biologist in the field of development and evolution (Universidad de Antioquia, BSc. and MSc.) and biochemistry and biotechnology with a focus on evolutionary systems biology (Ghent University, PhD.). More than 9 years of expertise in developing and applying systems biology-oriented mathematical modeling, evolutionary algorithms and combinatorial optimization methods, multimodal data analysis and visualization methods.
