Prof. Oumeraci, Hocine
University professor, has large experience in coastal structures and breakwaters, harbour engineering, coastal defence structures (particularly sea dikes and protection walls against storm surges), coastal hydrodynamics and morphodynamic processes, dynamic analysis of structurefoundation interaction, probabilistic design approaches, analysis of failure of coastal structures, scale effects in modelling hydraulic structures and coastal processes, wave loading and dynamic response of structures. He has been supervising applied and basic research projects in coastal engineering for more than 10 years, including MAST- (MAS2-CT92-0047, MAS3-CT95-0041, MAS3-CT27-0116) and other projects (CLASH, EVK3-CT-2001-00058 and LIMAS, EVK3-CT-2000-00038). He is now involved in the Framework 6 IP project FLOODsite (GOCE-CT-2004-505420). He was also supervising national research projects on vertical monolithic structures and sea dikes.
